But it has also given us a glimpse of the potential power of harnessing grass-roots energies to political and financial success using social networking. Through extensive engagement with social networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter,  blogs, and the Obama website itself, has the Obama campaign given us a blueprint for business success? Are there lessons for academia to learn as well.</p>
